Becoming a pilot and learning the art of the birds is a commitment to a new field of learning that will continue throughout your life. Even animals born to flight don't learn to fly in one day but rather flap safely at the edge of the nest before taking that first short flight to the next branch below. And so even the most experienced jet pilots will tell they still have more to learn about our three dimensional sport. Paraguide Hawaii understands the commitment in learning to fly and is equally committed to your safe instruction first as your teacher and later as your coach and mentor as we all continue to

learn the art of the birds.

Certification packages run about $1,200.00 and include your USHPA instruction and training up to a P-2 (Novice Paraglider). This requires three to five days on the training hill and several high flights. Advancement is dependent on demonstrated student competence. Equipment needs must be purchased after initial high flights or a $50 per flight equipment rental will be assessed. However, your first day on the hill can be experienced for $175.00 . You must join USHPA and local flying club for insurance and access. 4WD transportation is required to many flying sites and is available for $75.00 a day. Reservations are recommended for consecutive training days and a 48 hour cancellation policy applies for refunds. Training hill and high flight reservations are subject to weather cancellation.
